Airport scrubbers, solar-farm cleaners, smarter home vacuums and river barriers are all making news. See what is changing, then plan your own cleaning fleet with The Humanoid Group.
TrinaTracker unveils Aurora, a self-powered robot for cleaning solar panels
· Launch
Solar tracker maker TrinaTracker launched Aurora, a self-powered robot that cleans panels in utility-scale plants without an operator. It works in cyclic cleaning patterns and copes with terrain height variations of up to 50 millimeters. It debuted alongside Buildex, an installation robot. Pricing and availability were not given.
Why it matters: Panel-cleaning robots are being designed together with the tracker systems they ride on. Plant owners should ask how a cleaner fits the tracker, where it parks and charges, and what the maker supports.
Dreame shows a stair-climbing vacuum and an arm-equipped window robot at IFA
· Launch
At IFA 2026 Dreame presented the Cyber X, a legged and tracked system designed to carry a vacuum between floors, the T16 Pro Heat wet-and-dry vacuum for kitchen grease, and the Pano10 window-cleaning robot, which uses an arm to reach corners and edges. The release gave no prices or release dates.
Why it matters: Home cleaners are gaining stairs, grease and glass edges, jobs that used to need a person. Check floor layouts, docking space and local service before choosing a model, since features vary widely.
ABM pilots floor scrubbers, vacuums and an inspection robot at LaGuardia
· Deployment
Facility services firm ABM and LaGuardia Gateway Partners began a robotics pilot in Terminal B at New York's LaGuardia Airport. It uses CenoBots autonomous scrubbers that run up to six hours, CenoBots vacuums and a four-legged inspection robot from Skild AI. ABM says staff can focus on guest-facing work.
Why it matters: Airports test cleaning robots hard: long hours, crowds and tight schedules. A Pilot program on The Humanoid Group scopes one concourse or zone with agreed coverage measures before any fleet decision.
